Pragati Scholarship 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Pragati Scholarship is for girls only. Total number of scholarships - 4000 per year (2000 for degree and 2000 for diploma). Candidate should have taken admission in first year of degree/diploma course in any AICTE approved institution through central admission process of State/Central Government and candidates will be selected on the basis of merit test. Two girl children per family are eligible, whose family annual income should be less than Rs. 8 lakh.
Resident:
Pragati Scholarship is for girl students only. The students should be students of any state in India. The students should be admitted in the first year of degree/diploma course in any AICTE approved institution through the central admission process of the State/Central Government. The candidates will be selected on the basis of merit test for this scholarship. Two girl children per family are eligible, whose family annual income should be less than Rs. 8 lakh. They can apply.
Annual Family Income:
Pragati Scholarship is for girls only. The main objective of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to meritorious and financially weaker girl students for higher education. The annual family income of the applicant should be less than Rs. 8 lakhs.
AICTE Pragati Scholarship 2025 Amount:
Total Number of Scholarships - 4000 per annum (2000 for Degree and 2000 for Diploma)
Tuition Fee Support:
Students will get Rs. 30,000/- per year or the actual tuition fee amount, whichever is lower.
Incidental Charges:
Students will receive Rs. 2,000 per month for 10 months.
If tuition fee is waived or reimbursed, students will still get a lump sum amount of Rs.30,000. This amount can be used to purchase books, educational equipment or software, a laptop or desktop, a vehicle required for education, or to pay competitive exam fees and application forms.
Pragati Scholarship 2025 Important Documents:
The following documents should be kept ready while applying for Pragati Scholarship.
- Academic Mark Sheets: Class 10th and 12th (or equivalent).
- Income Certificate: Certified by a competent authority (not below Tahsildar rank) for the preceding financial year.
- Admission Letter from the Directorate of Technical Education for admission in Diploma or Degree course.
- Institute Certificate: From the Principal/Director/Head of the Institution.
- Tuition Fee Receipt: Indicating payment or waiver.
- Aadhar-Linked Bank Account Details: Photocopy of passbook with IFSC, account number, and photo.
- PAN Card: If available.
- Aadhar Card: Mandatory for identification and DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
- Parental Declaration: Signed declaration stating accuracy of information and agreement to refund if any discrepancy is found.
Pragati Scholarship 2025 How to Apply
To apply for Pragati Scholarship Scheme, after the notification is published on the AICTE website ww.aicte.gov.in and the application process starts, candidates have to apply online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). And candidates have to upload the scanned copies of the mentioned documents.
