SSP Scholarship 2025-26: State Scholarship Portal (SSP) is a platform launched by the Government of Karnataka to manage various scholarships for students of the state. This portal offers both pre-matric (Class 1–10) and post-matric (Class 11–PhD) scholarships for students of various categories including SC, ST, OBC and minorities. State Scholarship Portal (SSP) Scholarship 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To get Karnataka SSP Scholarship, the student must be a permanent resident of Karnataka and belong to SC, ST, OBC, Minority, Disabled or other eligible groups. For for pre-matric scholarship (class 1 to 10), the family income of the students should be up to Rs.2.5 lakh per annum. For post-matric scholarship (class 11 and above), the income limit can be from Rs.2.5 lakh to Rs.10 lakh per annum, depending on the category of the student and the specific scheme. Students applying for post-matric scholarship must have at least 50% marks in their last examination and in some cases, 75% attendance is also required.

Resident:

Karnataka SSP Scholarship 2025-26 Amount:

Pre‑Matric Scholarships (Classes 1–10):-

SC/ST:

  • Rs.1,000–Rs.1,500 for Classes 1–5
  • Rs.1,150–Rs.2,500 for Classes 6–8 (girls get slightly more)
  • Rs.3,000–Rs.3,500 for Classes 9–10 (up to Rs.7,000 for hostellers)     

OBC:

  • Around Rs.4,000 per year

Minorities:

  • Rs.1,000–Rs.5,000 per year, depending on school and class

Disabled (Divyang):

  • Rs.500–800 monthly maintenance + Rs.1,000 books + Rs.2,000–4,000 special allowance annually
  • Post‑Matric Scholarships (Class 11+, UG, PG, Professional)

SC: 

  • Rs.2,500–7,000 for day scholars; Rs.4,000–13,500 for hostellers, depending on course type

ST: 

  • Full tuition fees + maintenance; 100% fee waiver if family income  Rs.2.5 lakh; 50% if Rs.2.5–10 lakh

OBC:

  • Rs.5,000–20,000 annually depending on course group (Group 1: Rs.20k; Group 2: Rs.13k; Group 3: Rs.8k; Group 4: Rs.5k)

Minorities:

  • Rs.3,000–10,000 for tuition/admission per year + monthly maintenance: Rs.230–570 for UG/PG; vocational up to Rs.10,000; and Rs.1,200/month for MPhil/PhD

Divyang (Disabled):

  • Hostellers: Rs.1,600 to 900/month depending on course level
  • Day scholars: Rs.750 to 550/month
  • Plus annual disability grant: Rs.4,000 (visual/intellectual) or Rs.2,000 (other)

Brahmin (Sandeepani):

  • Hostellers: Rs.1,200/month; Day scholars: Rs.550/month; full fee reimbursement

  1. Aadhaar Card of student and parent/guardian
  2. Passport Size Photograph
  3. SSLC/PUC/Previous Year Mark Sheet
  4. Caste Certificate
  5. Income Certificate
  6. Mobile Number and Email ID
  7. Bank Passbook (student’s account, Aadhaar-linked)
  8. Student’s SATS ID / College Registration Number
  9. Study/Bonafide Certificate from school or college
  10. Fee Receipt (for post-matric students claiming reimbursement)
