Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Eligibility Criteria
All students of West Bengal who have passed their higher secondary and post-graduate level can apply for this scholarship. To get this scholarship, students must be permanent residents of West Bengal and have secured at least 60% marks in their last examination. If they do not have 60% marks, they will not be able to apply for this scholarship. Meritorious students will receive a grant of Rs. 12,000 to Rs 60,000 every year as a grant under this scholarship.
Resident:
To get Swami Vivekananda Scholarship (SVMCM), the student must be a permanent resident of West Bengal and must be studying from a recognized board, university or institution in the state of West Bengal. Students must have at least 60% marks in the final examination. If you do not have 60% marks, you will not be able to apply for this Swami Vivekananda Scholarship.

Annual Family Income:
To apply for Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, students' annual family income must be a total of 2,50,000 rupees, but if the family's annual income is more than this, then you will not be able to apply for Swami Vivekananda Scholarship.
WB Swami Vivekananda Document:
To apply for Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, visit the official portal of the Chief Minister's Relief Fund: svmcm.wb.gov.in. Keep the following documents ready for the application process:
- Marksheet of Secondary Examination or its equivalent (both sides)
- Marksheet of last Board/Council/University/College Examination (both sides)
- Colour Passport Photo
- Mobile Number (for OTP Verification)
- Recommendation Letter from local MLA or MP.
- Admission Receipt
- Family Income Certificate (Minister-in-Charge / Minister of State / DM / SDO / BDO / Joint BDO/Executive Officer in case of Municipality Area/Officer in the rank of Deputy Commissioner and above in case of Municipal Corporation area)
- Residence certificate
- Aadhaar ID/Voter ID/Ration Card/Permanent Address as a certificate issued by the concerned authority
- Bank Passbook (with first page, account number and IFSC)
- Copy of marksheet of last examination of current course. (Both sides and in case of semester examination system, both semester marksheets).
WB SVMCM Amount:
- Students selected through the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship will receive a financial grant of up to Rs. 12,000 to 60,000/- per year for their current studies.
Online Application for Swami Vivekananda Scholarship Scheme:
To apply for the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, applicants can apply through the official website of Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship: svmcm.wb.gov.in.
Online Registration:
- Fill up and submit the Registration Form.
- A 15-character Applicant ID will be generated (also sent to your email).
- Follow the Password Policy while choosing a password.
- Save/Download the Registration Slip or note the Applicant ID for future use.
Online Application:
- Login with your Applicant ID, Password, and Captcha.
- Complete the remaining application details.
- Upload Photograph (20-50KB) and Signature (10-20KB) in JPG/JPEG format.
Upload Documents:
- Upload all required supporting documents in PDF format, size within 400KB.
- Select the correct Issuing Authority of Income Certificate (BDO, SDO, etc.).
Submission:
- After successful upload, check the application in view mode and click Submit Application to complete the application process.
