Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Swadhar Yojana 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Eligible students under Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Swadhar Yojana 2025 must be residents of Maharashtra belonging to Scheduled Castes or Neo-Buddhist communities. Currently studying in class XI/XII or pursuing a diploma, degree, engineering, medical or professional course. They must have applied for a seat in a government hostel - but have not got it. Those who have secured at least 50% marks in their previous examination (relaxation is applicable for candidates with disabilities).

Students must be residents of Maharashtra belonging to Scheduled Castes or Neo-Buddhist communities. Currently studying in class XI/XII or pursuing a diploma, degree, engineering, medical or professional course. Those who have secured at least 50% marks in the previous examination (relaxation is applicable for candidates with disabilities) and whose family income is Rs. 2.5 lakh or less per annum, are eligible to apply.

Annual Family Income: 

To apply for Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Swadhar Yojana 2025, students must be residents of Maharashtra belonging to Scheduled Castes or Neo-Buddhist communities. Generally, the family income of the students can be Rs. 2.5 lakhs or less per annum.

Dr. The Babasaheb Ambedkar Swadhar Yojana 2025 Amount:

Under the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Swadhar Yojana 2025, eligible students from Scheduled Castes and Neo-Buddhist communities are given Rs.51,000 per year in two installments (after deducting the living allowance received from the Government of India scholarship). Additionally, medical and engineering students get Rs.5,000, and students of other courses get Rs.2,000 extra for buying educational materials.

Total funding typically sums to Rs.53,000 for most students, and Rs.56,000 for students in engineering or medical fields.

• New Registration (If not registered):
• Click on “New Applicant Registration”.
• Fill in basic details like Name, Mobile Number, Email ID, Aadhar Number, Password, etc.
• Verify your Aadhar via OTP.
• Use your registered Username and Password to log in.
• After login, go to “Post Matric Scholarship” section.
• Search for “Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Swadhar Yojana”.
• Provide personal details, address, caste certificate details, and educational details.
• Upload required documents (Aadhar, Caste Certificate, Income Certificate, Marksheet, Admission Proof, etc.).
