Himachal Pradesh EPASS Government has launched Technical Education Scholarships Schemes, State Sponsored Schemes, and Central Sponsored Schemes scholarship schemes. These scholarships provide financial assistance for higher education to meritorious students from economically weaker families. All the students who wish to apply can apply through online mode only. Himachal Pradesh Scholarship 2025 All Scholarship Name & Details

Technical Education Scholarships Schemes:-

Scholarships for PG/Degree & Engg Level Courses -

This scholarship will be given first to the eligible students on the basis of poverty and ability. Only those students will be eligible for the scholarship who are the children of genuine Himachal and H.P. Government employees. The total income of the parents or guardians of the applicant for this scholarship should not exceed Rs. 36000/-.

Eligibility Criteria:

Annual Family Income: This scholarship is applicable to Himachal students pursuing postgraduate or degree level courses, as well as diploma courses in engineering, technology, architecture, or equivalent AICTE-approved courses. Applicants must be children of genuine Himachal or H.P. Government employees. Students must have secured at least 60% marks in the qualifying examination, although this minimum mark requirement is not applicable to SC/ST students.

Annual Family Income: 

The total annual income of the parents should not exceed Rs.36,000.

Scholarship Amount:

  • The scholarship value for PG and Degree courses is Rs.300 per month for general category and Rs. 500 for SC and ST students.
  • Students of Diploma level courses including SC and ST will get Rs. 200 per month.

Scholarships for Diploma Courses -

This scholarship will be awarded first to the eligible students on the basis of poverty and merit. Only those students will be eligible for the scholarship who are the children of genuine Himachal and H.P. Government employees. The total annual income of the parents or guardians of the applicant for this scholarship does not exceed Rs. 36000/-.

Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for this scholarship, the student must be a genuine Himachal or the child of a Himachal Pradesh government employee. This scholarship is for students pursuing a diploma course in engineering, technology, architecture, or any equivalent course approved by AICTE. The total annual income of the parents or guardian should not exceed Rs.36,000. The student must have secured at least 60% marks in the qualifying examination, although this condition of marks does not apply to SC and ST students.

Annual Family Income: 

  • The total annual income of the parents should not exceed Rs.36,000.

Scholarship Amount:

  • The scholarship value for postgraduate and degree courses is Rs.300 per month for general category and Rs.500 per month for SC and ST students.
  • Students of Diploma level courses including SC and ST will get Rs.200 per month.

Scholarships for Students (SC/ST/OBC/General) -

This scholarship will be provided to SC, ST and OBC category ITI students at the rate of Rs. 250 per day. The scholarship value for general category is Rs. 100 per day.

Eligibility Criteria: To get this scholarship, students have to take admission in ITI course.

Scholarship Amount:

ITI students from SC, ST and OBC categories are given a scholarship of Rs.250 per month. For general category students, the scholarship amount is Rs.100 per month.

State Sponsored Schemes:-

Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chattervriti Yojana for SC Student -

This scholarship is for meritorious Scheduled Caste (SC) students of Himachal Pradesh. Every year, the top 1250 SC students who have passed the 10th class (matriculation) examination from HP Board of School Education, Dharamshala receive this scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:

The scholarship is given to Scheduled Caste (SC) students of Himachal Pradesh who are among the top 1250 meritorious students in the 10th Class (Matric) exam conducted by the HP Board of School Education, Dharamshala. The student must be studying in a recognized school, college, or professional/technical institute, either within Himachal Pradesh or outside the state.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Rs. 12,000 per year.

Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chattervriti Yojana for OBC Student - 

This scholarship is given to the top 1000 meritorious OBC students who have passed the Matriculation Examination conducted by the H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala. OBC category students studying in any recognized institution (including professional/technical courses) within Himachal Pradesh or outside the state.

Eligibility Criteria:

This scholarship is available to OBC students who have passed the Matriculation (10th) examination from H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala and are among the top 1000 meritorious students. Students must be studying in a recognized institution (including professional or technical courses) within Himachal Pradesh or outside the state. For renewal, students must show good performance in the internal examination of 10+1 or the first year of the course.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Rs.10,000/- per year

Swami Vivekananda Utkrisht Chattervriti Yojana -

This scholarship is awarded to the top 2000 meritorious students of the general category based on the merit list of the Matriculation Examination conducted by the H.P. Board of School Education. It is awarded on the basis of merit to students studying in recognized institutions including professional and technical courses within or outside Himachal Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria:

Students who belong to the General category and are among the top 2000 meritorious students in the Matric Examination conducted by the H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala, are eligible for this scholarship. They must be studying in any recognized school, college, or professional/technical institute within or outside Himachal Pradesh. For renewal of the scholarship in the next year, students must show good performance in Class 11 or 1st year of their course.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Rs.10,000/- per year

Thakur Sen Negi Utkrisht Chattervriti Yojana -

This scholarship is awarded to the top 100 girls and top 100 boys from the tribal community of Himachal Pradesh, based on merit in the matriculation examination conducted by the H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala.

Eligibility Criteria:

The students must belong to the tribal community of Himachal Pradesh and be among the top 100 boys or top 100 girls as per the merit list of the Matriculation Examination conducted by the H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala. They must be studying in a recognized institution including professional or technical courses within or outside the state. For renewal, the students must show satisfactory performance in the internal examination of class 10 or in the first year of their course.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Rs. 11,000/- per year

Indira Gandhi Utkrisht Chattervriti Yojana for Post Plus Two Students -

Under this scheme, scholarships are awarded to the top 10 students of 10+2 Arts, Science and Commerce stream based on the merit list of HP Board of School Education, Dharamshala. In addition, 10 top students (both male and female) of B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com. courses are also selected for scholarships based on the merit list provided by HP University, Shimla.

Eligibility Criteria:

Students who are among the top 10 male toppers in 10+2 (Arts, Science, or Commerce) from the HP Board or among the top 10 toppers (male and female) in B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com. from HP University, Shimla, are eligible for this scholarship. They must take admission in any academic or professional course and maintain at least 55% marks in each year to continue receiving the scholarship.

Scholarship Amount:

Kalpana Chawla Chattervriti Yojana -

This state-sponsored scholarship scheme, which was started in 2012-13, provides financial assistance to the top 2000 meritorious students of class 10+2 across all streams - Science, Arts and Commerce - based on the merit list of the HP Board of School Education, Dharamshala.

Eligibility Criteria:

This scholarship is given on the basis of merit to the top 2000 meritorious students who have passed 10+2 in Science, Arts or Commerce stream from HP Board of School Education, Dharamshala. To continue the scholarship, the student must be admitted to a recognized degree, diploma or certificate course and should not fail in any academic year.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Rs. 15,000/- per year.

Mukhiya Mantri Protsahan Yojana (One-time Incentive) - 

This Himachal Scholarship Scheme provides a one-time incentive of Rs.75,000 to all Himachal students admitted to prestigious institutions like IIT, AIIMS, IIM (for postgraduate diploma courses), ISM Dhanbad and IISc Bangalore.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must be a genuine Himachal resident and must be admitted to a degree course at any IIT, AIIMS, ISM Dhanbad, IISc Bangalore or a postgraduate diploma course at any IIM.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Rs. 75,000/- per year.

Maharshi Balmiki Chattervriti Yojana.

This scholarship is given to genuine Himachali students belonging to the Valmiki family who are engaged in unwholesome professions. It is given to them to help them continue their education after Matriculation (10th class) up to the college level.

Eligibility Criteria:

This scholarship is given to genuine Himachali students belonging to the Valmiki family who are engaged in unwholesome professions. It is given to them to help them continue their education after Matriculation (10th class) up to the college level. The students must be studying in any government or private recognized school/college located within Himachal Pradesh.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Rs. 9,000/- per year.

IRDP Scholarship Scheme -

This scholarship is for students from IRDP (Integrated Rural Development Program) families in Himachal Pradesh. Students studying from class 9 to university level in government or government aided institutions within the state are eligible.

Eligibility Criteria:

Students who belong to IRDP (Integrated Rural Development Programme) families of Himachal Pradesh and are studying in Government or Government-aided schools, colleges, or universities within the state are eligible for this scholarship. The scheme covers students from Class 9 up to the university level.

Scholarship Amount:

The scholarship amount for boys in class IX and X is Rs. 300 per year and for girls is Rs. 600. In class XI and XII, both boys and girls get Rs. 800 per year. College and university students get Rs. 1200 as day scholars and Rs. 2400 if they are in hostels.

Sainik School Sujanpur Thiara Scholarship -

Bonafide Himachali students studying from class VI to XII at Sainik School Sujanpur Tihra are eligible for scholarships based on their family income.

Eligibility Criteria:

Students who are bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh and are studying in Sainik School Sujanpur Tihra from Class 6 to Class 12 are eligible for this scholarship.

Scholarship Amount & Family Income:

Students whose family income is up to Rs. 9,220 per month get Rs. 18,000 per year. For income between Rs 9,221 to Rs. 10,650 per month, the scholarship is Rs 15,000 per year. If the income is between Rs. 10,651 to Rs. 11,470 per month, students get Rs. 12,000 per year. For income above Rs. 11,470 per month, the scholarship amount is Rs 8,000 per year. 

Additionally, students also get Dietary Money of Rs 10 per day for 295 days and Clothing Allowance of Rs 1,500 in the first year and Rs 750 per year in the following years.

Rashtriya Indian Military College Scholarship (Only for RIMC Dehradun) -

This scholarship is given to ten students who are genuine residents of Himachal Pradesh and studying from class VIII to class XII at the State Indian Military College, Dehradun. Two students from each class are selected for this scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:

Only genuine Himachal students studying from class VIII to class XII at the State Indian Military College, Dehradun are eligible for this scholarship. Two students from each class can get this scholarship.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Rs. 20,000/- per year.

NDA Scholarship Scheme (Only for NDA Khadakwasla) -

This is a state sponsored scholarship scheme which was started in 2010-11. Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to cadets from Himachal Pradesh who are undergoing training at the National Defence Academy (NDA), Kharkhwasla, Pune.

Eligibility Criteria:

This scholarship is available to cadets who are bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh and are undergoing training at the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune. The benefit is provided based on the cadet's family income category (Low, Middle, or High).

Scholarship Amount:

  • Rs 6,900/- to 12,000/- 

Financial Assistance to the children of the Armed Forces Personnel killed/disabled during the different War/Operations -

This scholarship is given to the children of members of the armed forces who were killed or disabled in war or military operations. If the parent's disability is less than 50%, the children will receive half the amount of the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

Children of Armed Forces Personnel who were killed or disabled in wars or military operations are eligible for this scholarship. If the disability of the parent is below 50%, then the child will get half of the scholarship amount.

Scholarship Amount:

Class 9th & 10th:

  • Boys: Rs.300 per year
  • Girls: Rs.600 per year

Class 11th & 12th:

  • Boys: Rs.800 per year
  • Girls: Rs.800 per year

College/University:

  • Day Scholars: Rs.1200 per year (for both boys and girls)
  • Hostelers: Rs.2400 per year (for both boys and girls)

Mukhya Mantri Gyandeep Yojna -

This is a state government-sponsored scheme for students of Himachal Pradesh. It aims to help students pursuing professional/technical courses or higher education courses from any recognized institution in India.

Eligibility Criteria:

The student must be a Bonafide Himachali, pursuing any Professional, Technical, or Higher Education course from a recognized institution within India. They must have taken an education loan from any bank, up to a maximum of Rs.10 lakh, to be eligible for the 4% interest subsidy under this scheme.

Scholarship Amount:

Under this scheme, students can get an interest subsidy of 4% per annum on education loans up to Rs.10 lakh taken from any bank.

Central Sponsored Schemes:-

National Scheme of Incentive to Girls for Secondary Education (NSIGSE) (CSS) -

This is a centrally sponsored scholarship scheme for SC/ST girl girls who have passed class VIII and are admitted to class IX. The aim of this scheme is to encourage girls to continue their education.

Eligibility Criteria:

SC/ST girls who are admitted to class IX after passing class VIII are eligible for this scheme. Girls should be less than 16 years of age as on 31st March of the year of admission. Girls of any caste or religion studying in Kasturba Gandhi Girls' School are also eligible.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Rs. 3,000/-

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC Students (9th &10th) CSS -

This scholarship is given to SC students of class 9th and 10th who are studying in any government or recognized school. This scholarship is given for 10 months in one academic year. After passing class 9th, if they have good behavior and regular attendance, they will get scholarship in class 10th.

Eligibility Criteria:

SC students studying in class 9th and 10th in any government or recognized school are eligible for this scholarship. Their parents or guardians' annual income from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2,50,000.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Day Scholars: Rs 225 per month + Rs 750 per year for books.
  • Hostellers: Rs 525 per month + Rs 1000 per year for books.

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for ST Students (9th &10th) CSS -

This is a scholarship scheme for Scheduled Tribe (Scheduled Tribe) students of class 9th and 10th, who are studying in any government or recognized school. This scholarship is given for 10 months in a year.

Eligibility Criteria:

ST (Scheduled Tribe) students studying in Class 9th or 10th in any Government or recognized school are eligible for this scholarship. Their parents’ or guardians’ total annual income from all sources should not be more than Rs 2,00,000/-.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Day Scholars: Rs 150 per month + Rs 750 per year (for books).
  • Hostellers: Rs 350 per month + Rs 1,000 per year (for books).

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC Students (1st to 10th) (CSS) -

This scholarship scheme has been created to help students from class 1 to class 10, whose parents' annual income does not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/-.

Eligibility Criteria:

Students from Class 1 to Class 10 are eligible for this scholarship, provided that their parents’ or guardians’ annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs 2,50,000/-. For Hosteller benefits, the student must be studying in Class 3 or above.

Scholarship Amount:

Under this scheme, day scholars from class I to class X will get Rs 100 per month for 10 months and hostellers from class III to class X will get Rs 500 per month for 10 months. In addition, all eligible students (both day scholars and hostellers) will get a one-time ad-hoc grant of Rs 500 per year.

Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme to SC students (CSS) -

This is a scholarship scheme for Scheduled Caste (SC) students. The scholarship includes some benefits, which include both maintenance allowance and compulsory fee payment. To get this benefit, the students must be studying as regular students in a government, government-aided, or recognized private institution.

Eligibility Criteria:

The student must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category. The student must be enrolled as a regular student in any government, government aided, or recognized private institution and must be studying in any recognized course. The annual income of the student's parents or guardians from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/-.

Scholarship Amount:

Group I – Highest Courses

  • Rs.550/- per month for Day Scholars
  • Rs.1200/- per month for Hostellers

Group II – Professional & PG Courses

  • Rs.530/- per month for Day Scholars
  • Rs.820/- per month for Hostellers

Group III – Other Graduate/PG Courses

  • Rs.300/- per month for Day Scholars
  • Rs.570/- per month for Hostellers

Group IV – Non-Degree & Diploma Courses

  • Rs. 230/- per month for Day Scholars
  • Rs.380/- per month for Hostellers

Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme to ST students (CSS) -

This is a scholarship scheme for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students, which aims to provide financial assistance for their education. Under this scheme, tribal students whose parents or guardians have an annual income of not more than Rs. 2,50,000 from all sources are eligible.

Eligibility Criteria:

This scholarship is applicable to all students belonging to Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. Students must be pursuing their education as regular students in a government, government aided, or recognized private institution. The annual income of the candidate's parents or guardians should not exceed Rs. 2,50,000.

Scholarship Amount:

Group I: For Degree, PG, M.Phil., Ph.D., CA, CS, ICWA, LLM, Commercial Pilot, etc.

  • Day Scholars: Rs. 550 per month
  • Hostellers: Rs. 1200 per month

Group II: For courses like B.Pharma, Nursing, LLB, Hotel Management, Mass Communication, MA, MSc, etc.

  • Day Scholars: Rs. 530 per month
  • Hostellers: Rs. 820 per month

Group III: All other graduate-level courses not covered in Group I & II.

  • Day Scholars: Rs. 300 per month
  • Hostellers: Rs. 570 per month

Group IV: For non-degree courses like Class XI, XII, ITI, Polytechnic Diplomas, etc.

  • Day Scholars: Rs. 230 per month

Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme to OBC students (CSS) -

This scheme provides scholarships for the education of students belonging to Other Backward Classes. The scholarship covers both maintenance allowance and compulsory fees. It is available for all courses, but the students must be admitted as regular students in a government, government-aided, or recognized private institution.

Eligibility Criteria:

The applicant must belong to the OBC category. Additionally, the student must be pursuing any course as a regular student in a government, government aided, or recognized private institution. Working OBC students will be considered eligible if their own income combined with the income of their parents or guardians does not exceed Rs.1,50,000 per annum. Unemployed OBC students will be considered eligible if the total annual income of their parents or guardians from all sources does not exceed Rs.1,50,000.

Scholarship Amount:

Group A Courses:

Degree and Post-Graduate (PG) level courses like M.Phil., Ph.D., Post-Doctoral Research in Medicine (Allopathic, Indian systems, etc.), Engineering, Technology, Planning, Architecture, Design, Fashion Technology, Agriculture, Veterinary, Management, Business Finance/Administration, Computer Applications, etc.

  • Commercial Pilot Licence courses (with additional flying hour charges).
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management & Medicine.
  • CA / ICWA / CS / ICFA courses.
  • LLM, M.Phil, Ph.D., D.Litt., D.Sc., etc.

Amount:

  • Day Scholars: Rs.350 per month
  • Hostellers: Rs.750 per month

Group B Courses:

Graduate / Post-Graduate courses like B.Pharm, B.Nursing, LLB, BFS, Rehabilitation, Diagnostics, Mass Communication, Hotel Management, Catering, Travel/Tourism, Hospitality, Interior Decoration, Nutrition & Dietetics, Commercial Arts, Banking, Insurance, Taxation, etc.
PG courses like MA, M.Sc., M.Ed., M.Pharm., etc., not included in Group A.

Amount:

  • Day Scholars: Rs.335 per month
  • Hostellers: Rs.510 per month

Group C Courses:

All other graduate courses not listed in Group A or B (Example: BA, B.Sc., B.Com, etc.).

Amount:

  • Day Scholars: Rs.210 per month
  • Hostellers: Rs.400 per month

Group D Courses:

Non-degree courses after Class 10 (High School).
Example: Senior Secondary (Class 11 & 12), ITI, 3-year Polytechnic Diplomas, vocational courses, etc.

  • Day Scholars: Rs.160 per month
  • Hostellers: Rs.260 per month

Dr. Ambedkar Post-Matric Scholarship for Economically Backward Classes (CSS) -

This scholarship scheme is specially designed for general category students (excluding SC, ST and OBC). The scholarship covers both maintenance allowance and compulsory fees like enrolment, registration, tuition, games, library, medical, examination and other academic fees.

Eligibility Criteria:

All students belonging to the general category (excluding Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes) are eligible for this scholarship, provided their total annual income from all sources does not exceed ₹1,00,000. In the case of an unemployed student, the income of the parents or guardian is considered. In the case of an employed student, their own income is considered. Furthermore, to avail the benefits of this scheme, students must be pursuing their education as regular students in a government institution.

Scholarship Amount:

Group I:

For Degree, PG, M.Phil., Ph.D., Medical, Engineering, Management, CA/CS/ICWA, LLM, Pilot Training, etc.

  • Rs.350 per month (Day Scholars)
  • Rs.750 per month (Hostellers)

Group II:

For courses like Pharmacy, Nursing, Law (LLB), Mass Communication, Hotel Management, MA, MSc, M.Ed., etc.

  • Rs.335 per month (Day Scholars)
  • Rs.510 per month (Hostellers)

Group III:

For general graduate courses like BA, B.Sc., B.Com, etc.

  • Rs.210 per month (Day Scholars)
  • Rs.400 per month (Hostellers)

Group IV:

For Class 11, 12, ITI, Polytechnic Diplomas, and similar non-degree courses.

  • Rs.160 per month (Day Scholars)
  • Rs.260 per month (Hostellers)

Upgradation of Merit of SC/ST students (CSS) (Only for GSSS Bharmour, Chamba) -

The Scholarships are provided to seven students (SC-6 and ST-1) from the state who have been admitted to Chambar GSSS on the basis of the merit list of the intermediate examination. The scheme is applicable from class IX to class X.

Eligibility Criteria:

Under this scholarship, a special scholarship is awarded every year to seven students from Himachal Pradesh - six from the Scheduled Caste (SC) category and one from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. These students have to be admitted to the Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS) in class IX. Selection is made on the basis of the merit list of the Intermediate Examination. Once awarded, the scholarship continues from class IX to class XII (10+2 level), which helps the selected students complete their higher secondary education without financial burden.

Rates of Scholarship

  • Fee & Stationery: Rs.2,500 per year
  • Boarding & Lodging: Rs.700 per year
  • Out of Pocket Allowance: Rs.200 per year

Merit cum means Scholarship Scheme for Students belonging to Minority Community (CSS) -

This scholarship is provided to help students from minority communities (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and Buddhists) to pursue degree or postgraduate level technical and professional courses from recognized institutions. A total of 85 students were selected under this scheme (Muslims - 37, Sikhs - 22, Christians - 2, Buddhists - 24).

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must belong to minority communities like Muslim, Sikh, Christian or Buddhist. They should be pursuing a degree or post-graduate level technical or professional course from a recognized institution. Students must have secured at least 50% marks in their last qualifying examination to apply under this scheme. The annual family income of the students from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakhs.

Scholarship Amount:

Maintenance Allowance (For 10 months only):

  • Hostellers: Rs.10,000 per year (Rs.1,000 per month)
  • Day Scholars: Rs.5,000 per year (Rs.500 per month)

Course Fee:

  • Rs. 20,000 per year or actual course fee, whichever is less (for both Hostellers and Day Scholars)

Total Scholarship Amount:

  • Hostellers: Rs.30,000 per year ( Rs.10,000 +  Rs.20,000)
  • Day Scholars: Rs.25,000 per year ( Rs.5,000 +  Rs.20,000)

Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme to students belonging to Minority community (CSS) 

This scholarship is for students belonging to minority communities (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis) studying from class XI to PhD level in government or recognized private schools, colleges and institutes, including technical and vocational courses. Only students from government or government-aided institutions are eligible.

Eligibility Criteria:

The student must belong to a minority community (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, or Parsi). The student must be studying in a government or recognized private school, college or institute, including technical and vocational courses, from class 11 or above, up to the PhD level. The annual family income should not exceed Rs. 2 lakh from all sources and the student must have secured at least 50% marks in their previous final examination. The student must have passed out from a government or government-aided institution.

Scholarship Amount:

Admission & Tuition Fee (Class XI & XII):

  • Rs. 7,000 per year (both Hostellers & Day Scholars).
  • Technical/Vocational Fee (Class XI & XII):
  • Rs. 10,000 per year (both Hostellers & Day Scholars).

National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship (CSS) -

This scholarship scheme is designed to support meritorious students from economically weaker sections, which helps in reducing the dropout rate after class VIII and encourages them to continue their education at the secondary level. This scheme is implemented by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India through the Principal of SCERT, Solan.

Eligibility Criteria:

Students from economically weaker sections, whose parents' annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs.1,50,000, are eligible for this scholarship. They must be studying in class VIII and have appeared in the selection examination conducted by SCERT, Solan, held in the month of August every year. This scholarship is awarded to meritorious students studying in government, government aided and local schools from class IX to XII.

Scholarship Amount:

A scholarship of Rs.6,000 per year (Rs.500 per month) is given to each selected student every year. This amount is provided to help students from Class IX to XII continue their studies.

This scheme provides 1,000 scholarships every year to students with disabilities studying in professional or technical courses at degree and post-graduate level from recognized institutions.

Scholarship Scheme (National Fund):

This scheme provides scholarships every year to 500 students with disabilities studying in post-matric professional and technical courses for more than one year.

Eligibility Criteria:

Students with disabilities are eligible for this scholarship. For the Trust Fund Scheme, the monthly family income should not exceed Rs.25,000 (Rs.3 lakh per annum) and the students must be pursuing a degree or post-graduate professional/technical course from a recognized institution. For the National Fund Scheme, the monthly family income should not exceed Rs.15,000 (Rs.1.80 lakh per annum) and the students must be enrolled in a professional/technical course (diploma, certificate, graduation or higher level) of more than one year duration.

Students belonging to Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNTs), who are not covered under Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), or Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories, are eligible for this Pre-Matric Scholarship. Their family income from all sources must be less than Rs. 2.00 lakh per annum to apply for this scheme.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Class I to VIII - Rs. 1000 per student for 10 month.
  • Class IX to X - Rs. 1500 per student for 10 month.

Dr. Ambedkar Post-Matric Scholarship for DNTs (CSS) -

This Post Matric Scholarship Scheme is designed for students belonging to Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNT). These students should not fall under SC, ST, or OBC category. The main objective of this scheme is to promote higher education among DNT students and help them in their educational advancement.

Eligibility Criteria:

The student must be a Denotified, Nomadic, or Semi-Nomadic Tribe (DNT). Their family income from all sources should be less than Rs. 2 lakh per annum.
