NIOH Recruitment 2025 - Eligibility Criteria
Qualification:
- Candidates must have a Postgraduate degree (M.Sc. or M.Tech.) in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related subjects from a recognized university, and you must have been selected through one of the following routes:
- National Eligibility Tests such as CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
- National-level examinations conducted by central government departments/agencies/institutions like DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
Desirable Qualification:
- Candidate should know how to do basic lab work in microbiology, such as using a microscope, growing microbes, and isolating bacteriophages. They should also be able to perform biochemical tests like SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, protein purification, and enzyme testing, as well as molecular biology work like extracting DNA/RNA, running PCR, cloning genes, and making proteins in the lab.
- Candidates should be able to use bioinformatics and biostatistics tools to analyze and present data for reports and publications. They should be skilled in computer programs like MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SPSS, or Prism, have good written and spoken English, and be able to work well with others in a team.

- Not more than 28 years as on closing date of advertisement. Age relaxation as per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC/Women/Differently-abled.
