CGPDTM Recruitment 2025; The Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM) has released a recruitment notification for 86 posts of Deputy Registrar, Assistant Registrar, and Examiner on a deputation basis (including short-term contract). The recruitment is open to eligible officers from Central/State Governments, PSUs, Universities, Autonomous or Statutory bodies who meet the required law qualifications and experience in legal, judicial, or intellectual property-related fields. Applications must be sent in the prescribed format through the proper channel along with ACRs/APARs of the last 5 years and vigilance clearance, to the CGPDTM office at New Delhi, within 30 days of the advertisement’s publication. CGPDTM Recruitment - Eligibility Criteria

(1) Deputy Registrar

Qualification:

  • Degree in law of a recognized University with 10 years practice/ experience (Bar, Judicial Service, Govt. Legal Dept., IP Processing, or Teaching Law),
    OR
    Master’s in Law with 8 years teaching/research experience.

Desirable: Ph.D. in Intellectual Property.

(2) Assistant Registrar

Qualification:

  • Degree in law of a recognized University with 5 years practice/experience,
    OR
    Master’s in Law with 3 years teaching/research experience.

Desirable: Ph.D. in Intellectual Property.

(3) Examiner

Qualification: 

  • Degree in law of a recognized University with 2 years experience in legal/IP matters.

Desirable: Master’s in Intellectual Property

Age Limit: 

  • Maximum 56 years.

Deputation Period:

  • Deputy Registrar - up to 4 years
  • Assistant Registrar & Examiner - up to 3 years

  • Pay Scale: Rs. 78,800-2,09,200/-

Assistant Registrar -

  • Pay Level: Level 11

  • Pay Level: Level 7
  • Pay Scale: Rs. 44,900-1,42,400/-

Candidates should send the prescribed application form (Annexure-1) by filling it up, attaching a self-attested photograph, ACR/APAR and Vigilance Clearance of the last 5 years through their parent department. The complete application form should be sent by registered/speed post within 30 days from the date of publication of advertisement to the Director General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks, Buddhist Sampada Bhavan, Sector-14, Dwarka, New Delhi - 110078.
