WB Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2025 - Vacancy Details 

The West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) has announced a total of 13,421 vacancies for the post of Assistant Teacher in Government Aided and Government Sponsored Primary and Junior Basic Schools across the state. These vacancies are approved by the School Education Department, Government of West Bengal and will be filled as per medium-wise and department-wise availability under various District Primary School Councils (DPSC) or Primary School Councils (PSC).

Educational Qualification:

The candidate must have passed:

• Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed.)
  OR
• Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with 45% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed.) (as per NCTE rules)
  OR
• Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with 50% marks + 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed.)
  OR
• Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
  OR

• Minimum Age: 18 years

Age Relaxation:

The upper age limit is relaxable for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC (A & B), PwD (Persons with Disabilities), Exempted (EC), Ex-Servicemen (ExS) and Para Teacher (PT) categories.
