Eligibility Criteria for Manipur University Faculty Recruitment

(1) Professor:

"A"

• Hold a Ph.D. in the relevant/allied/relevant discipline.
• Have at least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
• Achieve a research score of 120 (as per UGC criteria).
• Have minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience at university/ college/ national-level institutions.
• Must have successfully guided doctoral candidates.

"B"

• An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. in the relevant field, working in academia or industry,
• who has made a significant contribution to the subject area (supported by documentary evidence).
• Must have 10 years of experience.

(2) Associate Professor:

• Ph.D. in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
• Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
• At least 8 years of teaching/research experience equivalent to Assistant Professor level.
• Must have at least 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
• Must have a research score of 75 (as per UGC criteria).

(3) Assistant Professor

• Candidates must have a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks and either cleared NET/SLET/SET or hold a Ph.D. as per UGC regulations. Ph.D. candidates registered before July 2009 must meet specific publication and presentation requirements, while those with a Ph.D. from a top 500 foreign university (QS/THE/ARWU) are also eligible.
