Delhi Scholarship Scheme 2026 Scholarship Details 

Post-matric and Pre-matric Scholarship for SC/OBC. (CSS) -

Post-matric and pre-matric scholarship schemes for Scheduled Castes and OBC students are government programmes aimed at helping Scheduled Castes (SC) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) students. Pre-matric scholarships are for students from class I to X and post-matric scholarships are for students studying in class XI and above, including colleges and universities. These scholarships cover tuition fees, maintenance allowance and other educational expenses. These schemes are funded by the Central Government and implemented by the Scheduled Castes/Tribes/OBC Welfare Department, Delhi.

Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC (CSS):-

Eligibility:

  • Student must belong to Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
  • Must be studying in Class XI or above (College/University level).
  • Must be enrolled in a Government recognized institution.
  • Family income should be Rs.2.50 Lakh or less per annum.

Amount:

  • All non-refundable fees and maintenance allowances will be paid to eligible students as per the guidelines.

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC (CSS):-

Eligibility:

  • Must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
  • Must be studying in Class 9 or 10.
  • Student must have:
  • Passed the previous class, and
  • Minimum 75% attendance in the previous academic year.
  • Family income should not exceed Rs.2.50 lakh per annum.

Amount:

  • Rs. 3500/- per annum

Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC (CSS):-

Eligibility:

  • Must belong to the Other Backward Class (OBC) category.
  • Must be pursuing post matriculation/post-secondary studies (Class XI onwards).
  • Must be studying in a Government recognized institution.
  • Student must have:
  • Passed the previous class, and
  • Minimum 75% attendance in the previous academic year.
  • Family income should not exceed Rs.2.50 lakh per annum.

Amount:

  • Rs.5000 to Rs.20000/- per Annum

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC (CSS):-

Eligibility:

  • Must belong to the OBC (Other Backward Class) category.
  • Student must be studying in Class IX or X.
  • Must be enrolled in a Government school only (Private school students are not eligible).
  • Student must have passed the previous class (i.e., Class VIII or IX).
  • Must have at least 75% attendance in the previous academic year.
  • Family income should not exceed Rs.2.50 lakh per annum.

Amount:

  • Rs.4000/- per annum

Reimbursement of Tuition Fee of SC/ST/OBC Students (State Scheme) -

Tuition Fee Reimbursement for SC/ST/OBC Students is a state-funded scheme of the Delhi Government that helps SC, ST and OBC category students by refunding the tuition fees paid in recognized schools or colleges. This scheme is to reduce the financial burden on economically weaker section families and encourage students to continue their education.

  • Student must belong to SC, ST, or OBC community.
  • Must be studying in Class I to XII.
  • Must be enrolled in a Public School in Delhi.
  • Must have secured 50% or above marks in the preceding academic year.
  • Must have at least 70% attendance in the preceding academic year.
  • Total family income should be less than or equal to Rs.3.00 Lakh per annum.

Amount:

Rs. 48,000 per student or the actual tuition fees paid, whichever is lower.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Scholarship for Toppers (State Scheme):-

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Scholarship for Toppers is a merit-based award given by the Government of Delhi to recognize and encourage academic excellence among students belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories. The scheme is applicable to students studying in state and central universities located within Delhi. The main objective of the scheme is to help and inspire meritorious students from marginalized communities to achieve academic success and pursue higher professional goals.

Eligibility:

  • Must belong to SC, ST, or OBC category.
  • Should be studying a professional or technical degree course (like Engineering, Medical, Law, Management, etc.).
  • Must be studying in any State or Central University located in Delhi.
  • Must be the topper (i.e., highest marks scorer) in the final year exam of your course.
  • There is no family income limit for this award.

  • Rs. 25000/-

Merit Scholarship to SC/ST/OBC Students of College/Professional Institutions (State Scheme) -

Merit Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC Students of Colleges/Professional Institutions is a state scheme of the Delhi Government which provides financial assistance to meritorious students belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories studying in recognized colleges or professional institutions. This scholarship is given to encourage meritorious students to pursue higher education without worrying about financial constraints.

Eligibility:

  • Must belong to SC, ST, OBC, or Minority community.
  • Must be studying in a College or Professional Institution (like engineering, medical, commerce, etc.).
  • Must have secured at least 60% marks in the previous academic year.
  • For OBC/ST/Minority students: Annual family income should be up to Rs.3.00 Lakh.
  • For SC students: No income limit.

Financial Assistance to SC for pursuing higher studies in Abroad. (State Scheme) -

Financial Assistance to SC Students for Higher Education Abroad is a government-run scheme that supports Scheduled Caste (SC) students who wish to pursue a Masters or PhD degree in foreign universities. This scheme helps eligible SC students fulfill their dreams of international education.

Eligibility:

  • Must belong to Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
  • Must be below 30 years of age as on the cut-off date of the respective year.
  • For Master’s Degree: Minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in Bachelor’s Degree.
  • For Ph.D: Minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in Master’s Degree.
  • Must have secured admission to a recognized university/institution abroad for the relevant course (Master’s or Ph.D.).
  • Annual family income should be less than Rs. 8 lakh from all sources.

Amount:

  • Rs. 5 lakh per year.

Mukhyamantri Vidhyarthi Pratibha Yojna Scholarship Scheme. (State Scheme) -

The Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Yojana is a state scholarship scheme that provides financial assistance to school students. The scheme encourages students to do well in their studies and helps reduce the financial burden on their families.

Eligibility:

  • Class 9th & 10th: Student must have scored more than 50% marks in the previous exam.
  • Class 11th & 12th: Student must have scored more than 60% marks in the previous exam.
