Indian Council for Cultural Relations Scholarship -
The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Scholarship is a government-funded program that provides financial assistance to international students from over 180 countries to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses at Indian universities. The scholarship promotes cultural exchange and strengthens India's ties with other countries through education. It covers tuition fees, living allowance, medical benefits and sometimes airfare.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be citizens of one of the countries officially covered by ICCR scholarship schemes, as determined by bilateral or multilateral agreements.
- For Undergraduate (UG) courses: you must have successfully completed the 12th standard or equivalent secondary school certificate.
- For Postgraduate (PG), M.Phil, or Ph.D. courses: you must hold a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree with a strong academic record, as per university requirements.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory, since most Indian universities teach in English.

Monthly Stipend (Scholarship Money) -

House Rent Allowance (HRA) -
You also get extra money for staying in a hostel or rented house:

This amount is given once a year to help buy study materials:
- UG: Rs.5,000 per year
- PG: Rs.7,000 per year

This is a one-time amount for printing and binding your final project or thesis:
- Rs.10,000 for Ph.D. students

Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST Students -
Post-Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Students is a central government-funded scheme aimed at helping Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students continue their education after Class 10. This scholarship is applicable to students studying in Class 11, Class 12, Undergraduate, Postgraduate and other higher education courses in recognized institutions. This scheme provides financial assistance towards tuition fees, maintenance allowance and other educational expenses.
Eligibility:

The objective of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to deserving and needy students admitted to various courses of the university to meet their educational expenses.
Eligibility:
- The student must be a bonafide student of Panjab University or its affiliated colleges.

Sanskrit Scholarship -
Sanskrit Scholarship is given to meritorious students who have studied Sanskrit in 10+2 examination and have chosen Sanskrit as an optional subject in B.A. First year. This scholarship is available to B.A. First, Second and Third year students, subject to the approval and grant of the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi. Its objective is to promote Sanskrit education among undergraduate students.
Eligibility:
- Must have studied Sanskrit as a subject in 10+2.
- Must have taken Sanskrit as an elective subject in B.A. I.
- The scholarship is available for students in B.A. I, II, and III.
