Tripura Scholarship 2026 All Scholarship Name & Other Details

Tripura Govt. Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship scheme -

The Merit-cum-Money Scholarship Scheme of the Government of Tripura is a financial assistance scheme aimed at helping students pursue higher education. To be eligible, students must have secured at least 55% marks (General category) or 50% marks (SC/ST) in the previous examination. There is no income barrier to apply for this scholarship. It is available to students studying in general degree and postgraduate courses.

Eligibility:

The student must be a resident of Tripura.
Must have scored:

• At least 55% marks if the student belongs to the General category.
• At least 50% marks if the student belongs to SC/ST category.
• The student must be enrolled in one of the following:
• 1st year of general degree course
• 2nd year or onwards of general degree course
• Postgraduate course.
• There is no family income limit for this scholarship.

Institution of Scholarships and stipend for education of Girls at Degree stage -

The Scholarship and Stipend Institution for Girls' Education at Degree Level is a scheme of the Government of Tripura that supports female students pursuing higher education. To be eligible, a girl student must have passed the second division (i.e., the minimum required marks) in her previous examination.

Eligibility:

• Applicant must be a girl student.
• Must be a resident of Tripura.
• Must have passed the previous examination in Second Division (i.e., secured minimum qualifying marks, typically 45%-59%).

This scholarship for students of Tripura Engineering College is to help students from financially weak families. There is no minimum score requirement for application.

NEC Merit Scholarship is a financial assistance scheme for students pursuing higher education from the North Eastern Region (NER). To be eligible, students must have secured at least 70% marks (General category) or 60% marks (SC/ST category) in their last qualifying examination.

Eligibility:

• For General category students: Minimum 70% marks in the last qualifying examination.
• For SC/ST category students: Minimum 60% marks in the last qualifying examination.

The Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minorities is a government scheme aimed at supporting the education of students from minority communities (such as Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis). This scholarship encourages continued schooling among economically weaker sections and helps reduce dropout rates in the minority community.

Eligibility:

• The student must belong to a minority community (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, or Parsi).
• The student should be studying in Class I to Class X (stipend starts from Class VI onwards).
• The student must have secured at least 50% marks in the previous final examination. (Not applicable for Class I students)
• The student must be studying in a government or recognized private school in India.
• The annual income of the student’s parents/guardian must not exceed Rs.60,000 from all sources.

• Class VI–VII: stipend of Rs.400 per month

Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities -

Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities is a financial assistance scheme aimed at helping students from minority communities (such as Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis) to continue their higher education after Class 10. This scheme encourages meritorious students from economically weaker backgrounds to pursue education without financial burden.

Eligibility:

• Must belong to a minority community (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, or Parsi).
• Must be studying in Class XI or XII in a recognized school/college in India.
• Annual family income should be Rs.60,000/- or less from all sources.

• Class IX–X: stipend of Rs.650/-

Special Incentive to Minority Girls Students -

The Special Incentive Scheme for Minority Girl Students is designed to encourage the education of girls from minority communities and reduce the dropout rate. The aim of this scholarship is to support talented girls from economically and socially disadvantaged minority groups.

Eligibility:

• Must belong to a minority community (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, or Parsi).
• Only girl students are eligible.
• Those studying in Class VI to VIII must be enrolled in any recognized school, while those in Class IX must also be enrolled in a recognized institution.
• For Class VI to VIII: Must have secured 60% marks or above in the annual examination.

• Class VI to VIII: Rs.500 per student (subject to securing at least 60% marks in the annual exam)
• Class IX: Rs.800 per student (under the same academic condition)

Abul Kalam Azad Merit Award for Madhyamik Passed Students -

The Abul Kalam Azad Merit Award for Secondary School Passed Students is a scholarship scheme that aims to promote educational excellence among minority students.

• Must have passed the Madhyamik (Class X) examination with a minimum of 60% marks.
• Should have passed from a recognized board/institution.

Abul Kalam Azad Merit Award for H.S (+2 stage) Passed Students -

The Abul Kalam Azad Merit Award for Higher Secondary (+2 Stage) Passed Students is a merit-based scholarship awarded to students from minority communities who have demonstrated academic excellence in their Higher Secondary (Class XII) examinations.

• Must have passed the Higher Secondary (H.S. / +2 stage) examination with at least 60% marks.

• Only girl students are eligible.

Chief Minister Meritorious Minority Girls Gold Award -

The Chief Minister's Meritorious Minority Girl Gold Award is a prestigious state-level recognition given to Muslim girls who have secured top 10 positions in the Madhyamik (Class 10) and Higher Secondary (HS/Class 12) board examinations. The award aims to encourage educational excellence and high aspirations among minority girls.

Eligibility:

• Must be a girl student.
• Must belong to the Muslim minority community.
• Must have appeared in either the Madhyamik (Class X) or Higher Secondary (H.S. / +2 stage) board examination.
• Must have secured a position in the top 10 rank holders in the respective board exam.

• Rs. 25,000/- (Rs.19,000/- cash & Rs.6000/- gold medal)

Financial Assistance to the Minority Patients under Nucleus Budget Scheme -

Financial assistance to minority patients under the Nucleus Budget Scheme is a welfare initiative aimed at providing medical assistance to economically weaker patients from minority communities. This assistance helps in reducing the financial burden on minority families facing emergency medical treatment or serious health problems.

Eligibility:

• Must belong to a minority community.
• Must be in need of medical treatment (general, critical, or emergency) either within the state or outside the state.
• The total family income must be Rs.1,20,000/- or less from all sources.

Amount:

• Eligible for up to Rs.6,000/- if treated within the state.
• Eligible for up to Rs.15,000/- if treatment is taken outside the state.

Pradhan Mantri Jana Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) (erstwhile MSDP) -

Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyam (PMJVK), formerly known as Multi-Sectoral Development Programme (MSDP), is a centrally sponsored scheme that focuses on infrastructure development in minority-dominated areas. The scheme aims to bridge the socio-economic development gap by supporting projects in key areas such as education, health and economic empowerment.

Eligibility:

Eligibility for Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas KPJ (PMJVK) is based on identification of Minority Concentrating Areas (MCAs), where the minority population (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis) constitutes at least 25% of the total population. These areas are selected using indicators such as low literacy rate, especially among women, and lack of participation in the workforce. Government and government-aided institutions like schools, health centres and hostels located in these areas are eligible for infrastructure development assistance.

One Time Financial Support for Economically Weaker Meritorious Minority Students for pursuing different Professional courses -

One-time financial assistance for economically weaker meritorious minority students is a scholarship scheme aimed at assisting deserving students from minority communities to participate in professional courses.

Eligibility:

• Must be an Indian citizen and belong to one of the notified minority communities.
• Should be enrolled in a professional or technical course at the graduate or postgraduate level in a recognized institution.
• Must have secured at least 50% marks in the previous qualifying examination.
• Annual family income from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakhs.

Amount:

Eligible students will receive a one-time grant of Rs.50,000 and an additional Rs.40,000 in two installments over two years for their studies.
